On January 19, 2016, a non-profit association was registered under the name “Bulgarian Association of Laboratory Technicians in Imaging Diagnostics and Therapy” – BALODT, which aims to unite radiology technicians and specialists working in the field of imaging diagnostics and all areas of using ionizing radiation in medicine, as well as to support their professional development, specialization, and improvement.
According to the BALODT statute, members of the Association can be radiology technicians practicing methods in imaging diagnostics, nuclear medicine, radiotherapy, radiobiology, radiation protection, other specialists from related fields; specialists with higher education; student radiology technicians; and nurses practicing in the field of imaging methods.
